When customers complete a checkout for a free product (total = $0), and you are using a Multiple Product template, ThriveCart suppresses invoice emails. This prevents confusion caused by receiving billing notifications when no payment was made.
What Happens
- Customers still see the normal success/fulfilment page.
- Confirmation/fulfilment emails are still delivered (so they know their order went through).
- Invoices continue to send as usual for all paid products (> $0).
Why This Matters
- Reduces customer confusion and inbox clutter.
- Keeps invoice emails tied only to real financial transactions.
- Maintains confirmation emails for free products so customers still receive acknowledgment.
How it works
- Make sure that you have selected one of our Multiple Product Templates for your product.
- If a customer completes checkout on a $0 product.
- They see the success/fulfilment page as normal.
- They receive any confirmation/fulfilment emails set up by the vendor.
- No invoice email is sent.
- If the product has a price greater than $0, the invoice email is sent as usual.
