Within ThriveCart, we automatically send sales notification emails to the product owner, but if you need to also forward your customer information to a Virtual Assistant, business partner, fulfillment centre, or anyone else when a customer completes their order, this quick tutorial shows you how.
In the below walkthrough, we take a look at how easily you can send notifications of sales/orders to a different email address using Zapier.
1. Within Zapier, click on Trigger:

2. Search or Select ThriveCart as the trigger app

4. Select Product Purchase as the trigger event

5. Select the ThriveCart account where this event will occur

7. Under Product, you can allow it to trigger for any main product, or click into this option to choose a specific product

8. There are a number of filters that you can set within your Zap setup, so that this Zap only triggers if all conditions are met.

9. Click on Continue to complete the trigger event setup

10. Click on Test trigger to see test order data from within your account

11. Click on Continue with selected record to use this data as a test

12. To set your email send app, search or choose your email host. In this example, it’s Gmail

14. Choose the event action of Send Email

15. If you have already connected your email to Zapier, it will show here. Otherwise you’ll need to connect your email account in this step.

17. Configure the data you want to include in the email you’re sending.

18. Click on To, where you can set the recipient email address.
You can also choose to CC and/or BCC other email address, as well as change the From email

19. Enter a subject for your email

20. To include ThriveCart product purchase variables in the body of your email, click Add for field mapping

21. You can enter a variety of information from your orders, such as the customer name, email, address, and all purchase details.

23. Click on Test step. This will send an example of the email that will be sent when orders are placed, based on the test data we gathered during the trigger setup.

24. Once you’re satisfied with your Zap setup and email contents, Click on Publish
Your Zap is now live and additional emails will be sent to your desired team when an order in ThriveCart is placed.
