Multiple Order Bumps – Showing based on customer purchase history

This feature is included with a ThriveCart Pro+ license and requires Stripe Connect+ to be enabled as your payment processor and activated within product settings.

ThriveCart now allows you to automatically pre-select bump offers based on what a customer has purchased in the past. This gives returning customers a more personalised experience — and helps you surface the most relevant upsells.

For example:

  1. If a customer previously bought Product A, you can automatically pre-select bumps for Product B and C during their next checkout.
  2. If they bought Product C, you could show them Product D and E instead.

This powerful rule-based logic helps you unlock smarter, behaviour-driven upsells — with zero manual tagging or external tools.

How to Show Bumps to Returning Customers

This feature is available when using Thrivecart Pro+ and works by referencing customer purchase history within your ThriveCart account.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Go to Products → Select any product → Bump tab.
  2. Add or edit a bump offer.
  3. Enable the checkbox: “Show for returning customers?”
  4. When checked, a dropdown appears: “Select product”.
  5. Choose one or more products from your store that should trigger this bump for returning customers.
  6. Selected products will appear in a list below — you can remove any by clicking the ❌ icon.

Once saved, this bump will only be shown (and pre-selected) for customers who’ve previously purchased one or more of the selected products.

How It Works at Checkout

  • If a returning customer has purchased any of the trigger products you set, the bump will be shown and pre-selected by default.
  • If they haven’t purchased any of those products, the bump will not be displayed.
  • This happens silently — no tagging or customer login is required.

Works seamlessly across your ThriveCart product library.
