You must have at least one Group created in your MailerLite account for the integration to save. You can create groups under your Subscriber’s area in MailerLite.

To connect MailerLite, you’ll need to get your MailerLite API key by following the steps below:

  1. Head to your account menu in MailerLite via your profile picture in the top right corner of your MailerLite dashboard
  2. Click Integrations > Developer API > Use
  3. Copy/Paste that API key into ThriveCart by heading to Settings > Integrations > MailerLite
  4. Click Authorize with MailerLite to complete the connection

After connecting your MailerLite account with ThriveCart, you will be able to make use of it within the automation rules throughout your account.

What does this integration support?

Using ThriveCart’s integration with MailerLite you can easily manage contacts for a wide number of triggers with:

  • Add to Group

For data that is passed through to MailerLite, we currently pass through:

  • Customer name
  • Customer email address
  • Customer address
  • Customer phone number
  • Customer company name
  • Custom fields

  • Automated Welcome Series: Add new buyers to a welcome automation immediately after purchase by using the “purchases” triggers.
  • Upsell Follow-Up: Add customers to a group based on which upsell or bump a customer accepted to trigger relevant emails.
  • Subscription Retention: When using Pro+ you can enable dunning notifications to remind customers of upcoming or overdue payments, and even remind them when their credit card is expiring.
  • Learn Content Drop: Set automation rules in your course to trigger based on new content being released, and students will be added to a group to let them know.

  • Q: The integration isn’t saving, why?
    • A: Make sure that your API key was copied in full and that you have at least one group set up within your MailerLite account, under subscribers.
  • Q: Can I use the ThriveCart MailerLite Integration with upsells, downsells, or bump offers?
    • A: Yes! ThriveCart allows you to trigger separate MailerLite actions based on any step in the funnel, including:
      • Upsell/downsell accepted, rejected, refunded, or cancelled
      • Bump offer purchased or rejected
      • Cart abandoned
      • Subscription rebill or cancellation

You can apply tags or trigger automations for each event, allowing for precise post-purchase email flows. As a reminder, automations related to upsells and downsells are set within that upsell/downsell product directly.
