How to Connect ActiveCampaign to ThriveCart

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations inside your ThriveCart dashboard to locate ActiveCampaign from the list of available autoresponders.
  2. Follow the prompts to connect your ActiveCampaign account by entering your API URL and API Key
  3. In ActiveCampaign, click your profile in the top right
  4. Click “My Settings” 
  5. Click “Developer” to see the API URL & API Key
  6. Copy/paste those values into the integration setup in ThriveCart 
  7. Click Connect. Once linked, ThriveCart will confirm your integration is active.

After connection, ActiveCampaign will appear as an option within your products Automation Rules, letting you automate actions based on customer activity.

What does this integration support?

Once your ActiveCampaign account is connected, you can automate contact management through ThriveCart’s Automation Rules feature.

Supported Actions:

  • Add to Tag: Assign specific tags to a contact (e.g., “Purchased Product A”).
  • Add to List: Add the contact to one or more lists.
  • Add to Automation: Enroll the contact into an ActiveCampaign automation sequence.
  • Remove from Tag: Remove existing tags when a behavior changes (e.g., refund or cancellation).
  • Remove from List: Unsubscribe a contact from a specific list.
  • Remove from Automation: End an automation (since ActiveCampaign does not allow direct removal from an automation, this effectively stops it).

You can apply these actions for multiple customer behaviors—such as purchases, refunds, cancellations, or upsells—giving you total flexibility in how you communicate post-purchase.

Marketing Automation, Data Synced to ActiveCampaign

When a customer completes a transaction or an action related to their order triggers an automation rule in ThriveCart, the following data is automatically passed to ActiveCampaign:

  • Customer name
  • Customer email address
  • Customer IP address

This ensures your ActiveCampaign contact records are always accurate, current, and enriched with essential details for segmentation and analytics.
