Stripe Capital: Linking Your Stripe Connect+ Account

If you’re currently using Stripe Capital and are considering (or have already upgraded to) our Stripe Connect+ integration, we’ve got you covered!

You might be wondering what happens to your existing loan, repayments, and dashboard reporting, but the good news is that on our side we can connect your existing Stripe loan by linking to your Stripe Connect+ account.

What Happens to My Existing Stripe Capital Loan?

Your existing Stripe Capital loan will not be affected by upgrading to a Stripe Connect+ account. You just need to tell us the original Stripe account ID and your new Stripe Connect+ ID and we will do the rest!

This means:

  • Your repayment schedule continues as normal.
  • You won’t lose your loan history.
  • Stripe will assess any future loan offers based on your entire account history, not just the new account.

Just let us know if you’ve used Stripe Capital before, and we’ll take care of the rest.

How Are Capital Payments Collected?

Once your accounts are linked, Stripe Capital Loan repayments are automatically handled using the following order:

  1. First, payments are collected from your original account (the one that originally received the loan); then
  2. If needed, Stripe will collect from your new Stripe Connect+ account; then
  3. If more is still needed, Stripe may deduct from your Stripe balance; and
  4. Finally, Stripe may debit your bank account linked to the original account.

This ensures repayments continue smoothly across both accounts.

We understand how important your historical data and trends are.

You can now view all of your Stripe Connect+ account data under one organization with Stripe Organizations. If you own multiple connected accounts, you can create a Stripe Organizations dashboard to view all your data in one place.

Note: Stripe Organizations are best suited for accounts you own and control directly – this may not apply to all Connect+ setups.

If you’re concerned about what your dashboard will look like or how analytics will display, let us know. We’re happy to help clarify what’s possible and share visuals or examples if needed.
